General information on data protection
Data processing during website visits
When a website is called up, a large amount of data – including personal data – is automatically transmitted via the internet. From a technical point of view, this is necessary for the website to function at all and also to be able to provide you with the best possible result.
For example, whenever you call up a website, retrieve an image from a server, load an external plug-in (or script) or stream a video or use one of the many other transmission options, data is sent from your computer to the server from which you retrieve it. When you call up a website, your browser (e.g. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, Opera, Safari) automatically sends certain information from your system. These data are for example:
Website from which the website or a file (image, script, video) is accessed or in which the file is embedded (referrer)
- Operating system
- Screen resolution
- Keyboard layout (language)
- IP address from which the website or file was accessed
- Name of the website or file accessed
- Time stamp (date and time) of the request
- Name of the browser and its version
- Amount of data transferred
- Access status (file transferred, error code)
This data is logged by each server. Logging is done for example to
- Maintaining and checking IT security (e.g. to detect hacker attacks) and IT operations
- Statistical analysis (of the use of the website)
- improvement of the website
- customised output of the website or files so that they are (can be) displayed optimally on your terminal device
No pseudonymisation or anonymisation is used for security protocols, as this would make it impossible to draw conclusions about potential attackers. As a rule, the evaluation of data for other purposes is anonymised and no profiling is carried out. Further information can be found in the further course of this privacy policy.
Person concerned
The “data subject” (also referred to as “data subject”) is the person whose personal data is collected and processed. In the following, the “data subject” is also referred to as the “website visitor” or “user”.
Information on data subject rights
Every data subject can assert his or her rights (data subject rights) against the person responsible. This can be done by email, post or a form provided. Telephone enquiries are also possible. However, telephone enquiries are only accepted and are not answered on the phone. The data controller selects the medium (post, email, other media) and sends the data subject the response to their request via this medium. Replies to enquiries about data subjects’ rights are free of charge. In case of excessive exercise (e.g. heavy accumulation) of the data subject rights, a fee will be charged. The answer will be given within the statutory period of one month. The deadline may be extended in exceptional cases (e.g. high number of requests or high complexity of the request). The extension of the deadline must be justified. The rights of data subjects are listed below. For the sake of clarity, we have listed the data subjects’ rights in bullet points. Behind each list you will find a link to detailed explanations (on the HUBIT data protection pages).
- Right to information
- Right of rectification
- Right to erasure
- Restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Revocation of consent
- Right to object
- Right of appeal
The data subject must authenticate himself/herself to the data controller to ensure that he/she is authorised to exercise the data subject rights.
On the HUBIT Data Protection page, you will find a form that you can use to exercise your data protection rights with us. Form for exercising data protection rights.
Cookies
We use session cookies. These are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
We use permanent cookies. These remain stored until their expiry date has been reached.
You have the option of deleting cookies via the settings in your browser. You can find more information about cookies and how to delete them on the HUBIT data protection page.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Forms
Data minimisation is an objective of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. In order to meet this goal and to ensure that your data is protected as much as possible, we have not used forms (e.g. contact form, application form, newsletter form). You can contact us via other channels (e.g. telephone, email).
Statistics tools
We have refrained from using statistical tools.
Web fonts
The fonts on this website are loaded locally from the web server.
Miscellaneous
Moreover, via the archive function of search engines, the data can often still be retrieved even if the information has already been removed or changed from the above-mentioned internet offerings.
